What happens if you treat your close surroundings like you never stepped foot on them? This question was the start for Pepijn Zuiderveld’s exploration of the close surroundings, by setting up a self-made scientific mission to his studio backyard, in an attempt to fulfill his desire for discovery in times of a pandemic. 
The adventurous photographic journey of Pepijn Zuiderveld is visually supported and bundled in a publication by me and Tom van Osch. With space travel in mind, Tom, Pepijn and I have created a fresh outlook on this topic in our own backyard.
